International Students wanting to study HE courses can apply in one of three ways - through UCAS the UK's central organisation for processing HE applications, by post or by email.
For students interested in FE courses please apply by post or by email only.
UCAS
Students choosing UCAS must be aware of the deadlines and should visit the UCAS website. There will be a fee for this service. All applications submitted via UCAS will be sent on to Canterbury College and once received will be processed in the same way as postal or online applications.
BY POST
Students can also apply by post. Go to Courses - select the courses you are interested in and then download a Canterbury College application. A student will need to fill this application in fully, sign it and provide supporting documents such as High School certificates, letters of achievement and any other documents which verify their ability to undertake the course. The application can then be posted to Canterbury College directly. Students are advised to get applications in as soon as possible as it can take up to 2 months for a decision to be made. Once a student is successful a Conditional Offer will be sent out. It is conditional upon 50% of the fees being paid. This letter (CAS) can be used to secure a Student VISA and must be taken to any VISA processing office in their own country such as VFS Global. Once the VISA is secured the student will be able to plan their travel and will pay the remaining student fees at registration in September.
VIA EMAIL Or ONLINE
Please fill in your application online if possible as this is the quickest and easiest way to apply. Just refer to courses and do the application from that point.
OR, alternatively a student can fill in an application, print it off, sign it and then scan it. (WORM scanning is the only acceptable form)Supporting documents must also be scanned and sent along with the scanned application to m.taylor@cant-col.ac.uk This is a quick way to submit applications but only possible if you have a scanner. All applications that are emailed will be processed in the same way as Postal and UCAS applications.

NOTE: For postal, email and online applications the deadline for receipt of an application is July 1st for consideration for the academic year beginning in the September. However, students should make every effort to submit applications as early as possible to ensure VISA's are secured. In general once an application is submitted, if a VISA is not secured by August 29 of the current academic year, the 50% deposit will be refunded minus a £27.50 administration fee provided Canterbury College has been informed by that date.
