This course is designed to improve your skills and understanding of media in a digital age. You will have the opportunity to work on a range of practical I-Media projects including 3D animation, 3D modelling, interactive Flash authoring, web design, and video production for multimedia. Using industry-standard equipment and software, you will obtain the highly transferable and desirable skills necessary to seek a career in the media or progress to Higher Education.
Course Content:
Games Development, interactive media, media production (print, radio & TV), film & TV, and radio production. In addition, students will study and take a test in at least one functional skill in English, Mathematics or ICT as part of their main programme.Entry Requirements:
4 GCSEs at C or above (English and Art are desirable), or a First Diploma at Merit.Assessment:
Through practical assessments, group projects and production work. All units are assessed and graded and an overall grade for the qualification is awarded.Progression:
A high percentage of the new media workforce is freelance and it is a competitive industry. Successful completion of the course will give you the skills necessary to compete in the expanding market or give you sufficient entry requirements for progression to related Higher Education courses.
