Counselling Skills ABC Certificate - Level 3
This course is ideal for anyone who wants to start in counselling or to develop their personal and communication skills in the caring industry through a nationally recognised qualification.
What will I learn?
Students will cover 4 units: An appreciation of the basics of Counselling, the Professional Context and Relationship, Introduction to the Skills used as a Counsellor & Introduction to Personal Development.
How will I be assessed?
This course is assessed through the writing of a journal each week (approximately 800 words) and 4 assignments on each of the completed units. Students will also need to complete a recorded 30 minute skills session.
What may it lead to?
Students can progress onto the Level 4 Diploma in The Theory and Practice of Counselling.
Students must have completed a Level 2 qualification in counselling and an interview to ensure that students understand the nature of the course as well as to ensure enrolment on the right level course.

Please note, you must be at least 18 before you start this course. There are no concessions on this course. You will need to pay the full amount when you enrol. Students would be advised to purchase the textbooks advised at enrolment or e-books available through the library. Students will also be required to pay fees for registration - to be discussed at interview. For those students who have previously been interviewed and accepted onto the course, enrolment can be made on Thursday 4th July, between 1500 and 1830.
