Childcare Intermediate Level Apprenticeship - Level 2
This Apprenticeship is for people who work with children - from birth to 19-year-olds (and their families) - in settings or services whose main purpose is children's care, learning and development. The Level 2 Apprenticeship is for those working under supervision such as a nursery assistant or playgroup assistant working with children under five or an assistant playworker in an out of school setting.
What will I learn?
Learn the theory at college and the practical skills in the Work place. You will gain skills to support Children and Young People's behaviour and contribute to their development. You will also gain a paediatric emergency first aid certificate as a unit within the course.
How will I be assessed?
Assessment takes place within the workplace and at College for one day per week (in term time).
What may it lead to?
Advanced Apprenticeship in Childcare or Foundation Degree in Early Years.
Entry Requirements:
Grades at least C in English/Maths or Functional Skills
