Renewable Energy Awareness Course
The BPEC renewables awareness course is designed for anyone who wishes to know a little more about renewable energy technologies, from customers to specifiers.
What will I learn?
The course covers an overview, market conditions, limitations, and application for the following renewable technologies: Solar Thermal & Solar Photovoltaic (PV), Heat Pumps, Wind Turbines, Micro-hydro & Domestic biomass systems
How will I be assessed?
Assessment is by Multiple-choice paper
What may it lead to?
This qualification could help candidates who wish to continue their studies in renewable energy or sustainable building design, decide whether to undertake a Foundation Degree in Renewable Energy Technology.
Entry Requirements:
No qualifications or experience is required for you to apply for the course but you must have an obvious interest renewable energy.
Additional Information & Other Costs:
Engineers should ideally be working in the industry and hold the relevant qualifications.
Candidates who successfully complete the assessment will receive a nationally recognised BPEC certificate in renewable energy. On completion of this course delegates will be able to make assessments of premises to identify appropriate renewable energy strategies.
