Plumbing Certificate and NVQ - Level 3
It is important to candidates that their Technical Certificate programme provides them with training in current plumbing practices - with materials, components, and equipment of types that are in current use within the industry.
What will I learn?
The Level 3 Certificates covers the competences required so you can progress onto the Plumbing NVQ units in the following areas: Practical systems installation, commissioning & maintenance skills - the material and tool skills required to measure - cut - bend - join - prefabricate - install the systems materials and components, commission and maintain systems within the range of the qualification units Underpinning or supporting knowledge - the essential knowledge required to work safely in plumbing activities - work with and install systems materials and components - install systems in compliance with current legislation and the industry standards for good practice The Technical Certificates also cover the knowledge required to work with other people
How will I be assessed?
The candidates will be required to undertake knowledge assessments which include: Multiple-choice questions - centrally set and locally marked, Multiple choice questions - centrally set and centrally marked, Assignment on Job Planning requiring short written answers - paper centrally set and locally marked.
What may it lead to?
NVQ/Diploma in Plumbing Level 2 & 3
Entry Requirements:
Completion of Basic plumbing studies at Level 2
