Business (Marketing) Higher National Diploma - Level 5
What will I learn?
General business modules will be taught to the student group as a whole, allowing the opportunity to exchange views and ideas with a more diverse group of students. Students will then split into their relevant chosen pathway for the specialist modules allowing for a more focused and in depth consideration of their chosen field. There are six core modules in year one and three core modules in year two. Students may change their selected pathway for year two if appropriate. The Year 1 programme includes the following modules: Marketing, Managing Financial Resources and Decisions, Organisations and Behaviour, Business Environment and International Business. Together with Marketing Intelligence. The Year 2 programme includes the following modules: Business Decision Making, Business Strategy and Research Project plus specialist modules to suit your pathway.
How will I be assessed?
Continuous through coursework including written assignments, presentations and limited exams.
What may it lead to?
Students who successfully complete the programme may progress to a full time BA (Hons) Business Studies top-up at Canterbury College.
Applicants must have at least one of the following: 1 A level at C or above or a BTEC National Diploma at MMP or equivalent. Applications are also welcomed from students with Access qualifications or from mature students with relevant experience in the business sector.
