Industry Experts Praise College Beauty Students

A group of students at Canterbury College at Sheppey have been praised by one of the leading beauty industry experts.

The group, who are studying for an NVQ Diploma in Beauty Therapy, participated in a day long training course with representatives from Sterex, one of the world leaders in electrolysis the hair removal technique.

All of the students who took part in the training, which is a mandatory part of their course, received an industry recognised certificate which is highly regarded by potential employers.

Elaine Stoddart, Director of Training and PR for Sterex Electroysis, said: “The students were truly exceptional ambassadors for the college. Their behaviour, appearance and professionalism were of an excellent standard.” Elaine added: “They were keen to learn, helpful, motivated and dedicated, their lecturer and the college should be very proud of them. All the students successfully carried out all the techniques and received a Sterex certificate.”

Sterex educational days enable students to experience up to date treatments and techniques thus furthering their knowledge of current practices available to beauty therapists within a modern Beauty Industry.

Katrina McIntyre, Beauty Therapy Lecturer at Canterbury College at Sheppey, said: “I was incredibly proud of the students and very pleased with the progress they have made, they will be finishing their course next July and some have already secured employment which is a fantastic achievement.”
