Canterbury College's James Completes London Marathon

James Reeves from Canterbury College took 4 hours 25 minutes to complete the London Marathon

Congratulations to Canterbury College’s James Reeves who successfully completed this year’s London Marathon.

James, who is Section Manager for Sport, Leisure, Travel and Tourism, completed the 26 mile run on Sunday in 4 hours 25 minutes.

29 year-old James, who lives in Sandwich, did the run to raise money for Gets Kids Going - a national charity which gives disabled children and young people, up to the age of 26, the opportunity to participate in sport.

James, who raised £500 to help provide a child with a sports grant so they can play their favourite sport for one year, said: "It was quite tough going about three quarters of the way around the route, but there were so many people lining the streets shouting and cheering they really kept me going. Everyone at Canterbury College has been really supportive of my training and made donations to the charity – I’ll definitely be showing off my London Marathon medal to all of the students when term starts again after Easter."
