Canterbury College Performing Arts Students Raise Money for Dave’s Charity - 20/12/10

Pantomime legend Dave Lee has met the cast of Canterbury College’s production of Peter Pan, to thank them for making a donation to his charity.

Dave, who is currently playing Lady Nellie in Robin Hood at the Marlowe Theatre Arena, paid a visit to the College to pick up a cheque for £250 from the first year Performing Arts students.

The group decided to donate the proceeds from one of their performances to Dave Lee’s Happy Holidays charity which raises money to pay for disabled, sick or underprivileged children and their families from Kent to take a break away.

Gill Workman, Section Manager for Dance and Dramatic Arts said: “The Performing Arts students and staff are delighted to support Dave’s charity; we look forward to presenting our student performers in a Cabaret and a Variety Show in 2011 to raise more funds for this excellent local charity.”

Since it was set up in 1994, Dave Lee’s Happy Holidays has raised more than £2million.
