Carole Mulcare meets with University

Carole Mulcare from Canterbury College has recently returned from a successful trip to Australia where she met with representatives from The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology University (RMIT)  and the Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) as part of the Cooperation Program between the European Union and Australia.

The project involves education institutions from the UK, France, Denmark and the Netherlands.  Canterbury College is RMIT’s UK partner institute and is part of this unique project designed to provide students from business, fashion and engineering studies with global understanding, knowledge and experience.  The project will facilitate the exchange of vocational students spanning three continents. This exciting project also gives students from all the education instituitions involved the opportunity to develop language, cultural and employability skills.

During her visit, Ms Mulcare worked with Geoff Atkinson, Teacher, Business TAFE School, on applying the VRQA credit matrix to cover the exchange of academic credits from one program to another.

Ms Mulcare also had the opportunity to observe RMIT student presentations to industry partners on work integrated learning projects in the Advertising, Public Relations and Marketing disciplines in the Business TAFE School.
