Canterbury College launches exciting new iPhone app

Just days after Apple unveiled the new iPhone 4S, Canterbury College has become Kent’s first college to launch an exciting new app for the iPhone and iPad.

Students, parents and local businesses can now search the range of courses on offer and apply for places directly from their phone.

The new app features an interactive guide to courses, updates on news and events, as well as a useful map of the College’s new multimillion pound campus.

The software was a zero cost project developed by the College’s IT and marketing teams. It can be downloaded free of charge by searching ‘Canterbury College’ on iTunes. The team is also putting the final touches to a version for other smart phones that will be released later this month.

Canterbury College’s Business and Associated Services Director Mark Hill said: “This is an exciting time for Canterbury College. In these modern times people choose to communicate via a range of new digital methods and we are continuing to adapt to ever changing technologies. We hope that our new app will be another useful bridge between the College, learners, businesses and the wider community.”

Whether you are a school-leaver considering your next step, an adult thinking about returning to education, or an employer with training needs, you should download the Cant-Col app to access all the information you would ever need about one of the largest colleges in the South East.

The College has been testing the App over the past few weeks with staff and students and it has now been submitted to the iTunes store.

As well as the new app, Canterbury College is leading the way in college social media communities. It was amongst the first colleges in the South East to join Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and Google+.
