Canterbury College Brings Apprenticeship Week to Whitefriars
We’ve seen Sir Alan Sugar hiring his Apprentice in the boardroom, now it could be your turn to become an Apprentice in your dream job.
National Apprenticeship Week runs from 7th – 11th February and to celebrate; Canterbury College will be hosting an interactive exhibition, near to Boots in Whitefriars Square, Canterbury.
The Canterbury College Apprenticeship team will be on hand to give practical advice and guidance and running demonstrations from 10am – 4pm each day.
The College welcomes interest from potential students, schools, parents and businesses and has themed to showcase the following areas:
Tuesday 8 February
Health & Social Care, Childcare
Wednesday 9 February
Accounting, Customer Service, Business, Hairdressing, Vet Nursing
Thursday 10 February
Wood, Brick, Electrical, Fabrication, Welding, Plumbing, Motor Vehicle
Apprenticeships give young people the chance to combine their learning by getting practical experience in the workplace and gaining a nationally recognised qualification at College.

Apprenticeship Week is run by the National Apprenticeship Service which was created in 2008 to increase the number of apprenticeship opportunities. Not only do apprenticeships benefit individuals and businesses, but also the economy by boosting productivity and staff retention.
